Gas Guzzler In Chief
Update:After the slanted president's vacation poll below, AOL came out with another hit piece titled "Gas Guzzler In Chief," showing how the president uses so much gas when he travels. The article was an obvious bias attempt to bash the president by tapping into driver anger over high gas prices - AOL, have you no shame?
AOL introduces their latest Bush bashing poll as follows: "President Bush's vacation is a polarizing issue. Some complain it's too long. Others say he shouldn't take time off during a war. Still others say he deserves a break. As this debate continues -- along with Bush's vacation -- see what others say and give us your take."
"...along with Bush's vacation"???
If this intro wasn't bias enough, AOL highlights a quote from a James Regalado, referred to as a "political scientist" from California State University. We don't know if he's a professor, a student or janitor - any guess what he thinks about President Bush's vacation?
He says,
{Americans} "are seeing the president on vacation when the rising number of...deaths is bringing the war all too close to home."
If the president didn't take a vacation, do you think James's opinion of Bush would be different?
The poll question is "Should Bush take a vacation during a war?" The question begs a negative response and the AOL sheeple don't disappoint. With over 100,000 voting it's No 60% and yes 40%.
But put this poll in context: In other polls AOL members agreed that "Bush killed her {Cindy Sheehan} son, 53%(210,524 voting); He is handling the Iraqi war poorly, 61%; and handles domestic affairs poorly, 58% - the latter two results were based on 90,068 votes.
In the past the MSM has referred to President Reagan's ranch as the "Western White House" and referred to past presidents as taking a "working" vacation - but this Bush hating press gives him no quarter.
